Sound familiar?
The problems this solves
One missing label strands a whole shipment
An FNSKU over the wrong barcode or a poly bag without a suffocation warning gets stock refused or stranded at the fulfilment centre. Prep done to Amazon's spec, first time, is the whole job.
Per-unit prices that turn out not to be per unit
Plenty of prep centres quote a headline rate, then add lines for inspection, bags and labels. Our per-unit price includes all three, and the rest of the rate card — exception fees included — is published.
Silence between delivery and check-in
Your freight forwarder says 500 units left the factory. Weeks later you discover 460 arrived. We count against your ASN at check-in and raise discrepancy alerts with photo evidence the day we find them.
How Oakmont handles it
What actually happens
- 1
Announce the inbound
Create an ASN in the portal or upload a CSV. We know what is coming, in what quantities, before the driver arrives.
- 2
Check in and inspect
Every carton is counted against the ASN and units are visually inspected. Shortages or damage trigger a discrepancy alert with photos — no chasing required.
- 3
Prep to Amazon's spec
Poly bag with suffocation warning where required, FNSKU applied over the manufacturer barcode, expiry labels in Amazon's format where the product needs them.
- 4
Forward to Amazon
Cartons forwarded at £1.50 each, or built and wrapped onto pallets at £7.50 a pallet, against the shipment you book in Seller Central. Tracking lands in the portal.

Questions
Asked before, answered here
Do you apply suffocation warning labels?
Yes. Where a product needs poly bagging, we use bags with the suffocation warning Amazon requires, and the bag and label are included in the per-unit prep price rather than billed as extras. If your units arrive in supplier bags without the warning, we re-bag them so the shipment is compliant on arrival at the fulfilment centre.
What exactly is included in the per-unit prep price?
Goods-in with a visual inspection, poly bagging where required, and FNSKU labelling — all inside the tiered per-unit rate, from £0.50 at 1–199 units down to £0.26 at 2,500 or more. Add-ons such as bubble wrap (£0.45), fragile pack (£0.75) and expiry labelling (£0.12) are only charged when the product genuinely needs them.
How quickly will my stock be prepped?
We work to a 24-hour turnaround target from check-in, provided the inbound was announced through the portal. If you are up against a deadline — a restock about to run dry, say — urgent same-day handling is available at a published +25% surcharge.
Can you handle expiry-dated products?
Yes. We apply expiry labels at £0.12 per unit in the format Amazon expects, and flag anything whose remaining shelf life looks tight before it ships rather than after Amazon rejects it. You will see expiry information recorded against the batch in the portal.
How does stock actually get to Amazon's fulfilment centres?
You create the shipment in Seller Central and we prep and hand over against it — carton forwarding at £1.50 per carton for parcel shipments, or pallet build and wrap at £7.50 per pallet for LTL. We apply your carton and pallet labels exactly as Amazon issues them, so what arrives matches what was booked.
